Some online forums have ad which really sucks. Large banner or pictures of new shrimp food or supplies is only interesting when viewed for the first time. That’s why I use an add in for my Firefox browser, called Remove It Permanently by Jerome O’Flaherty. Great stuff: everything I do not want to see is forever gone! Sometimes also helpful for avatars 
For mobiles, I can fully recommend the very quick rendering Opera mini browser.

Nice, thanks! I use “Ad Block Pro”, which strips out ads (layers, banners, popups…) by itself.
