Diseases known from aquaculture can sometimes occur in dwarf shrimps, too. As lately posted in aquaticquotient.com, so-called Black Spot Disease was diagnosed on Red Bee shrimps. This disease is caused by shell-degrading bacteria belonging to Vibrio, Aeromonas, Beneka and Pseudomonas groups. More Information in this PDF. Since shrimp keepers sell and exchange shrimps worldwide, this is a warning to always have a really close look on new shrimps!
